Still an engineer.

For more than a month now, I am the "Domestic Engineer" of the block. This position has perks unlike any jobs I ever had. Amongst the daily responsibilites are bus driver, chef, cleaner, judge, cleaning woman, listening ear, painter, plumber, gopher, handy-man, and most important one of all .... BANK.

I can hear my parents screaming from somewhere else on the globe, "YOU HAVE A DEGREE IN ENGINEERING!" Sigh, unfortunately that is very true, despite my lack of devotion to the trade.

There are similarities in the disciplines, I am still cleaning up spills, re-routing supplies (in this case food and garbage), still fixing things and most of all I am still paying the bills.

According to M Tobe, "Once an engineer, always an engineer."
