At 12:02AM, my kitchen was buzzing with plates and silverware. WE WERE HUNGRY!! Out came the cheesecakes (2 kinds), baked apples and coffee.
The shorter ankle biters had apple juice instead.
3 hours ago we were jumping and running through the house, laughing along the way. I believe all the hot water was replaced in the hot water heater, due to the long play time in the bathroom. The kids were acting silly and giggly. Most of all, they were happy.
HAPPY!!
Laughter and giggles as we came out of 2 tumultuous years, filled with anger, violence in the presence of youth and innocent.
That was the past.
Today, we are Happy.
