A non-american Marine?

Had a good meeting with the lawyer today. We somehow steered our conversation towards politics, GWOT, my news junkie habits, liberty and Freedom. I even quoted Ronald Reagan to a lawyer! (yeah yeah smart a**). In the midst of the conversation I mentioned that I hope to say that I spanked the butt of an American Soldier as well as my regrets that I cannot play a larger role in the GWOT.

Can a non-american serve in the USA military?

The answer: YES.

Non-citizen or "foreigners" can, have and are still fighting for liberty in the United States Military. Here is a good example, courtersy of Michael Yon.

There are some things that cannot be taken for granted.

Salute!

  1. I wonder how many Singaporeans would be willing to serve in the US Military...

Anyway, I've got something fun to share with you...

I'm trying to write a special feature on Singaporean bloggers living in America & Canada to help attract new readers to our blogs. This will be based on the SingaporeBloggers Frappr map project.

If you're willing, can you email me at brainopera [at] gmail.com with a few words on yourself, including:
    - Who you are (don't need real name)
    - What your blog is about (give URL)
    - Three things you like about America/Canada
    - Three things you miss about S'pore
    - Plus, anything you wish to add (e.g. interests, photos)

Try to make it short and sharp.
    Thanks! :)

  2. Guess Kevin doesnt know me too well.
The call to defend freedom and liberty is so loud, any barriers will be vanquished.
To serve in the US military will be an honour, especially to the next generation, their future is what we fight for today.
